Singapore - Medan - Parapat (D)
Upon arrival at Medan Polonia International Airport, will be greeted by Four Seas Holiday representative. Then proceed for city tour visiting Maimoon Palace Historic Building which was built in 1888. We will pass by The Grand Mosque and Kesawan Street which has most of its many different original Dutch, English, Chinese and the Malay architectures, such as: Tjong Afie Mansion, Medan City Hall and General Post Office. After the city tour, depart Medan for Parapat. The journey will take about 4 hours, and it will take you through Kota Pemantang Siantar – 2nd largest city in North Sumatra. Upon arrival at Parapat, check-in to your hotel.
Parapat - Samosir Island Discovery - Sipiso Piso Falls & Tongging - Brastagi Highland (B / L / D)
This morning, we will board a ferry trip across the crystal clear waters of Lake Toba to Samosir Island – a large volcanic island that is located in the middle of Lake Toba and has claimed to be the fifth largest lake island in the world. The island is the center of the Batak Toba culture and many of this people’s artifacts remain on the island. We will make a visit to Tomok, a village of the Batak Tobanese to see their traditional roofed houses, and the ancient stone tomb of their King Sidabutar is found. Here, you will also find good bargain of souvernirs made by the locals. After which, we will take a ferry trip back to Parapat. After lunch, we will depart Parapat for Brastagi Highland. Enroute visit Simarjarunjung where you can relax and admire the remarkable view of nature, Sipiso Piso Falls - a splender stream of water falling from a great height in Karo Highlands, Tongging - you will be amazed by the view of Lake Toba from top. Overnight at Brastagi.
Brastagi Highland – Medan
After breakfast, we will visit the local fruit market where you will have a chance to taste the wide variety of tropical fruits such as: Marquisa, Star Fruit, Pineapple, Banana, Papaya, Salak, Avocado, Durian and many more. You will also enjoy the superb view of two nearby volcanoes: Mount Sinabung and Mount Sibayak. Then off to Medan, where you will have a city tour, visiting Maimoon Palace Historic Building which was built in 1888. We will pass by The Grand Mosque and Kesawan Street which has most of its many different original Dutch, English, Chinese and the Malay architectures, such as: Tjong Afie Mansion, Medan City Hall and General Post Office. You will get to see Medan’s iconic Tirtanadi Water Tower – a legacy of its colonial past.
Medan – Bohorok (B / L)
In the morning, we depart to visit Gurung Leuser National Park located at Bukit Lawang, Bohorok. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of 'The Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra (status since 2004). Upon arrival, we some time at Bohorok River where you may wish to try out Tubing, a Grade-2 (mild) Rafting or an Advanced Jungle Trekking (All optionals). After a lunch, take a boat ride to cross Bohorok River to visit the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Please note that there is some mild trekking to reach the Center (comfortable shoe required). The Center is there to help the captive Orang Utan to readjust into their natural habitat. Watch the Orang Utan roam free in the Center, and feeding by the Park Rangers.
