The Afghan style Jama Masjid mosque attract your attention as well as Hoshang Shah Mausoleum - one of the oldest buildings of marble in India. Finally open your eyes to contemplate the Jahaz Mahal "Palace of the boat" undoubtedly the city’s most endearing and most gracious palace. Great rather steep stairs here give access to the upper terrace which is adorned with an old pool for the ladies of the royal court. Enjoy a nice view of the lake, other buildings and gardens. Holy city, Maheshvar, is a small town of about twenty thousand people. You can find manufacturers of silk and cotton sarees recognized in India. Do not forget to rent a boat to see the temples along the river and watch the people down the ghats to bathe in the sacred waters. The main charm of your stay in Maheshwar is that of the court of the temple and the palace of the Queen Ahilya today transformed into an elegant hotel. Visit Ujjain, the holy city of Hindu pilgrimage. The city is a remarkable place and a variety of temples can be visited, you will be greeted warmly and around the temples will be the rare privilege to be invited into the inner sanctum of the deity, in honor uncommon India. Ujjain is primarily Mahakaleshvar, the holiest city, with its underground sanctuary protecting one of the twelve Jvotir Lingam, Lingam of Light.
