Day 1: Arrival - Paro

Upon arrival to Paro international airport, guide and driver will well come you by offering Tashi Khadar (welcome scarf) symbol of Friendship and happiness. Drive to Bhutan capital Thimphu 53 km from international airport Paro towards Thimphu 2320m above sea level. On way to Thimphu from Paro you will stop at Ta-chog Lhakhang build by Thang tong Gyelpo after he had vision when he meditated here of an excellent horse Balaha, an emanation of Avalokiteshvara, thues as good omen, he built this Temple in 1433. He is also believed to have originated the use of heavy iron chins in constructions of suspension bridges near the temple still we can see this bridge and whenever we pass through this suspension bridge we believed to get bliss. After few kilometers drive can stop at Chhuzom means meeting of two river Paro river and Thimphu river the Bhutanese tradition regards meeting of two river is inauspicious thus there is presence of 3 very unique Chorten to ward off this inauspiciousness. The three Chorten reflects the 3 different architecture styles of Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan built in 1980. Upon arrival to Thimphu check in the hotel. After checking in the hotel, then visit to Tashi Cho DzongThe Fortress of the Auspicious Religious” is popularly known as Thimphu Dzong one of the largest Dzong in the Bhutan.

Day 2: Paro - Thimphu

Your day begin with visit the Memorial Chorten, it is the high light of the Capital city with it towering golden spires shinning in the sun and its bells tinkling in the wind. It was built in 1974 after Bhutan 3rd King pass away in 1972 and thousands and thousands of Bhutanese devotees are circumambulating it every day, the Chorten contains all the wrathful aspects of deities and teaching for subduing 8 kinds of harmful spirits, this Chorten is also known as wishful ling Chorten. Whoever can make wish with sincere faith and devotion will definitely fulfill your goal and wish, it was blissed by Dudjom Rinpoche father of Dzongsar Jamyang Khentshe Rinpo che. Unique artistic tradition, which has played a vital role in molding its distinct cultural heritage. It is growing as a reliable institute to preserve and promote culture and to contribute to the country, economy through quality products and service. This institute gives lessons in painting, calligraphy, embroidery, woodcarving, and sculpture, traditional boot making, slate carving, metal working, weaving, gold grinding, making religious materials.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha

After about a kilometer past the turn–off there is a magnificent view of Simtokha dzong, the first Dzong of the Bhutan the road then climbs up until it reach to Dochula pass 3150m above sea level this Chorten is marked by colorful flags, 108 Stupas and Druk Wangyel Temple which is built by our eldest Queen Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck in 2004 and this stupas and Temple is dedicated to successor of Monarchy from 1907 to 2004. Such days are rare the best chance of a view is in the early morning mid-October to mid-February.

Day 4: Punakha - Thimphu

In the 15th century, two brothers, Gyelchok and Gyelzom live in the Paro valley and they were descendants of Phajo Drugom Shipo the founder of drukpa Kagyupa school in the Bhutan. Whilen Gyelzom established himself Gatakha Monastry. Gyelchog went off to Tibet to study theology with the great master of that time . When he returned back from Paro though he gained lot of knowledge he did not have any money. His brothers Gyelzom refused to received him, saying that there were no beggars in their family.

Day 5: Thimphu - Paro

Kechhu Lhakhang: The Tibetan first Buddhist king Songtsen Gampo married the Chinese’s Princess Wenchen in 641. This was presented a statue of Jowo, which was image of the Buddha Sakya Muni as a small boy. When the Royal entourage was back to Tibet, the statue got stuck in the mud and could not be removed from it. Tak-tshang monastery: Guru Rinpoche is the one who direct appeared from the lotus without biological parents during the 8th century and also he is the one who propagated Buddhism in the Himalayan region. Taktshang Monastery is the one of the world most important sacred place who is blissed by Guru Rinpoche and now all the devotees can visits and get bliss. The monastery is perched on a high granite cliff overlooking the northern Paro valley.

Day 6: Paro - Departure

Free at leisure. Transfer to airport for flight back to Singapore.
